Project Information

If streams, rock, and forest are as important as the house you build in a quality, protected environment, the New River Gorge Preserve is for you. You will live next to one of America's National Parks.

The Preserve community is committed to maintaining our magnificent Appalachian forest environment. We have carved a limited number of home sites into the landscape, taking care to preserve the maximum amount of tree cover. We are stewards of the land. Half of the Preserve is within the boundary of the New River National River.

Most sites are about one acre in size. Well engineered roads are in place as well as underground utilities, that include public water and sewer.

The New River Gorge Preserve adjoins the boundary of the New River Gorge National River maintained by the National Park Service. Home sites in this area offer rim views of the Gorge and some frame graceful views of the world famous steel arch span, the New River Gorge Bridge.

The New River Gorge Preserve community owns one of the most spectacular eastern views of the bridge from the vantage point of Gorge View Park, where native stone terraces offer a spectacular setting for small social gatherings. This park is a trail head for the network of natural surface hiking paths that lead to the property’s most extraordinary natural features.

The New River Gorge Preserve is everything you would expect living at a National Treasure.
